Start to jot down everything you recall about your situation from your health before the situation unfolded, to the present. Even minor details can be important
Gather any documents that you currently have in your possession. If you family members or others that may have documents, ask to get the originals or copies
Start a file with any receipts or other documents that show costs associated with the situation. An example might be a receipt for a service that someone performed for you because you were unable to such as snow removal, house cleaning, etc. Put it in the file even if you think it is inconsequential. Your lawyer can advise you of its relevance later.
Jot down the name of anyone you’ve come in contact with over the course of your ordeal. They may be important resources at some time in recalling details.
Gather any medical records that you may have. We can assist you in obtaining additional records where warranted.
